  • Girls+, aged 14-16
  • In-Person, overnight camp
  • 4 Days (dates TBA)

Eclipse Parties

This year, we supported inclusive educational programming for the April 8th 2024 Total Solar Eclipse, partnering with organizations including MUN Community Hubs, to host in-person and virtual talks as well as in-person eclipse viewing parties on the path of totality on April 8th; three in Newfoundland and one in New Brunswick. More than 10,000 pairs of ISO-compliant eclipse viewing glasses with safety instructions were delivered to schools and community groups throughout rural areas to facilitate a safe viewing experience.

CISE-Atlantic is working toward planning Solar Eclipse Parties in Labrador in March 2025 and programming on the Northern Lights, including Indigenous knowledges, as the Sun approaches its activity peak in 2025.
