Job Eligibility
- Current Dalhousie University Undergraduate Student
- Preference will be given to students enrolled in STEM programs
- Candidates must identify as Indigenous for the Outreach Facilitator, Indigenous Learners (OFIL) position.
- Candidates must identify as Black and/or African Nova Scotian for the Outreach Facilitator, Black and African Nova Scotian Learners (OFBANSL) position.
Location: St. Francis Xavier University, Biology Department
Contract Duration: 8 weeks, 30-35 hours/week (May-June)
Salary: $18/hour
Position Vacancies: 4 Total – 2 OFIL, 2 OFBANSL
Description
Funded by Dalhousie University’s Ocean Frontier Institute, the Outreach Facilitator will assist the Program Coordinator in running the X-Oceans outreach program across communities in Nova Scotia.
The Outreach Facilitator will be based at St. Francis Xavier University for the duration of the contract and accommodations will be provided free of charge to the successful candidate.
Yes, that’s right! With this position you will have the opportunity to see the province, get paid for delivering activities to young minds, develop your leadership and communication skills, and have your accommodations covered in beautiful Antigonish during the months of May and June!
